it historic and unique Margaret’s Grocery in Vicksburg, MS

🕰️ In 2000, photographer Suzi Altman stumbled upon a vibrant roadside wonder – Margaret's Grocery in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Greeted by Reverend H.D. "Preacher" Dennis, adorned in Mardi Gras beads and seersucker pants, she was captivated by the multicolored monolith adorned with hand-scrawled spirituality. "I just fell in love immediately," Altman reminisced. 💞 (Courtesy of the Vicksburg Convention & Visitors Bureau) 📿 A fixture along Highway 61, the grocery was a kaleidoscope of mosaics,...

Towering above the lush landscapes of the Hawaiian Islands, Mauna Kea stands as the world's tallest mountain, a majestic giant that defies expectations. Many of the places I research benefit everyone, including me! However, I’ve been to the top of this one in Hawaii. It's amazing how, at the base, it’ll be 80 degrees, but on top of the mountain, it'll be about 35 degrees! And the windchill brought it down to a “real feel” in the teens! Not typical for Hawaii! At an impressive height of 33,500...

💫 North End Tavern (AKA The Net) opened its doors in 1899 as a small neighborhood pub in Parkersburg’s North End. Over the last century, the NET has grown into a restaurant and brewery that has become a Parkersburg tradition. 🍺 It’s just the place to experience West Virginia’s culture. And it’s a riverfront town in the Appalachian Chain. 👋 The current North End Tavern & Brewery owners acquired the business over 37 years ago and remain dedicated to maintaining an establishment where everyone...

Hi, everyone! Today is Day 7 post-op from my spine fusion surgery. The surgeon fused the L5-S1 vertebrae. So far, I'm doing very well! Although some have reported doing well initially and have serious problems crop up 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 months, etc., later, I'm staying positive and continue to "hope" for the best! Thanks to those of you who thought of me during the surgery last week and continued recovery. By the way, my daughter says I'm a "wimp" because I just had the two fused, and she...
