Medical "time out"

Published about 1 month ago • 1 min read

Or maybe I should call it surgical time out.

I'm having a spine fusion on April 3rd. I expect to "keep up" during my recovery but may delay a few posts. I'll have several newsletters written and scheduled, so I expect to pick them up again without missing a beat. 🤞

The surgery is L5-S1 decompression and fusion. My daughter tells me I'm a wimp because I only have two fused. She had three about 10 years ago. And many people have 4, or 5, or even more. And many had a prior fusion. Great chances for full recovery, even for "old guys" like me!

So... wish me the best!

And... let me know if you've had this type of surgery, so I know I'm in good company!

Later...

It's amazing how, at the base, it’ll be 80 degrees, but on top of the mountain, it'll be about 35 degrees! And the windchill brought it down to a “real feel” in the teens! Not typical for Hawaii! At an impressive height of 33,500...

Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of southwestern Colorado, Mesa Verde National Park stands as a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of ancient Puebloan cultures. Here’s another in a series on “Most Historic” in each state. This ancient civilization lived from 300 BCE to 1300 BCE. I’d call that historic! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a true historic marvel, offering visitors a captivating glimpse into the lives of those who called these lands home centuries ago. 🗿 As you wander...
